Colorado-Based Fitness Facility Design and Equipment Leader Expands in Utah, Adding to Nationwide Network of Resources

ADVANCED EXERCISE EXPANDS IN UTAH, ABSORBING PEX FITNESS

Littleton, COAdvanced Exercise announced the completion of its acquisition of PEX Fitness, a long-standing fitness equipment distributor in Utah, earlier this month.

An expert, full-service fitness design and equipment firm with a reputable 30-year history, Advanced Exercise is a recognized leader in the fitness industry in the U.S. Working with clients of all sizes and descriptions who have fitness facilities and equipment as part of their communities, the company builds fitness and wellness experiences with and for clients that are looking to differentiate themselves from their competition. “As a leader in the fitness design and equipment marketplace, we’re expanding the depth and breadth of our product lines and our team as the fitness industry continues to evolve,” said Gregg Speiker, President of Advanced Exercise. “We’ve known Scott Peck for decades, and we have many client relationships in common, so when he decided to leave the industry it was a natural handoff to Advanced Exercise and our growing support of the fitness needs in Utah.”

“After 25+ years in an industry I love, I have decided to sell my company and pursue other interests while I am still able,” said Scott Peck, who founded PEX Fitness in 2014 after overseeing the Fitco operation for more than 10 years, serving the fitness needs of communities across the state of Utah. “The timing is right for me to step back and hand over the reigns to Advanced Exercise’s Mike McNeese, who is a local Salt Lake City fitness resource that I have every confidence will continue to serve the PEX Fitness client base with the extremely high standard that AE is known for.”

Peck will continue to support the business over a lengthy transition period, during which time Advanced Exercise will integrate the PEX distribution agreements and client pipeline into its existing infrastructure. Advanced Exercise, like PEX, has been a long-standing partner with an impressive list of premium fitness manufacturers that includes Cybex, Life Fitness, Octane, Hoist and others. This acquisition is one of several initiatives of continued investment and growth in dynamic territories for Advanced Exercise, as the company expands, adds resources and innovates in markets across the United States.
